Europe's most flexible B2B payments platform, Sprinque, raised a €6m seed funding round led by Connect Ventures, with participation from Kraken Ventures, Inference Partners, and SeedX. Sprinque's B2B payments platform enables merchants and marketplaces to offer Pay by Invoice with net payment terms to buyers online, without taking on additional risk or increasing operational overhead. Sprinque is a white labeled solution that can be fully embedded via their APIs, and more.
After raising an impressive €6 million in Seed Funding, the funding round being led by Connect Ventures, Sprinque wanted to go international with their news. Based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, Sprinque wanted to generate traction among EU Startup media and from there build a global interest from international audiences. PRLab was tasked with sharing the funding news with trade media and global news outlets - covering regions from the US, UK, and EU. The overall objectives of this collaboration were for PRLab to help Sprinque with increasing their brand awareness, build credibility, and create buzz around the funding announcement. As is the challenge for any young startup, breaking into the international media marketing can be tricky. We wanted to ensure that Sprinque receives a spotlight opportunity to build their media following.
Sprinque had already drafted their initial press release, communicating how the €6 million in funding would be utilized to expand the business. PRLab was tasked with refining the key messages and building a far reaching media list. We got to work by identifying the key selling points to focus on and, in addition to the press release, reached out to top tier journalists to potentially secure exclusive interviews. The overall media list was crafted to include journalists and publishers from trade media, those covering startup news and/or early-stage funding, as well as including top tier media houses from PayTech and FinTech.
Whilst media coverage from the press release was pending to go live, we spend the duration of our collaboration focused on curating relationships with journalists to potentially collaborate in future. This resulted in us securing iterview opportunities for the Sprinque team to later persue when they were ready. TechRound was one among the interested publications to cover Sprinque's founding story. The true results of PR are usually only seen in the long-term, however, Sprinque's news traveled far and wide in less than a month, laying a solid foundation to build future media relationships from.
