What are the specificities of doing PR in Europe?
Europe is a diverse place. You can expect rigorous questioning and an element of skepticism. Don’t be surprised if local newspapers are the best way to reach people in some countries. Other places in Europe have stricter rules on contact and distribution lists, so you’ll need to be aware of this. European regulatory requirements are stronger than in other markets, and consumers are more empowered. Openness and transparency are more prevalent in Europe than perhaps in other territories, and so you may need to prove your credentials here.
Are PRLab based in the region?
In Europe, we have sites in Amsterdam, Stockholm, and Munich. Naturally, most of our people are from Europe and have a range of communication experiences in Europe behind them. This is a big plus.
What are the most exciting developments in the European PR Landscape?
Digital and social have changed the landscape in Europe, with PR professionals able to communicate directly with their audiences. Data analytics has provided real-time insights, which has helped inform PR strategies. Authenticity and transparency are increasingly important, giving brands an edge in communicating with audiences over their peers. Corporate social responsibility has also developed quite an extent here. Brands can align communication efforts with core values to resonate with audiences.
What services do we offer?
We offer all-round PR services. We write engaging press releases and media pitches that’ll get you seen and noticed by the outlets you desire, create thought leadership pieces to enhance your credibility in your field, and provide your people with media training to maximize your press exposure and media fluency. We’ll also sit down with you to optimize your site for SEO and provide our branding expertise to sell your brand most strongly.
Why hire a PR agency and not do "in-house"?
It might seem possible to conduct PR “in-house,” but the truth is it’ll take a lot of time and effort to really master, and pre-existing knowledge of how to do it. PR professionals work in an ultra-competitive environment that requires the constant monitoring of trends and campaign success. This will take away time spent on core roles - the product or service itself, and taking care of your existing clients.
We have a spread-out client base in all sectors we operate in. Our results speak for themselves. Clients rely on us for our knowledge and experience. We offer a collaborative approach, devising a winning PR strategy with your input. We listen to your goals and make them our goals. We provide regular reports and meet with you to discuss progress and successes, remaining adjustable throughout our partnership. More than this, we are an approachable expert tech PR firm with a firm handle across all industries and a talented team ready to assist you in achieving your goals.
Can you provide examples of successful PR campaigns you have run for clients in Europe?
Moss is an all-in-one spend management tech platform, offering corporate credit cards the facility to manage employee expenses, including invoice management and accounting. They aimed to gain more press attention, increase brand awareness and credibility and forge strong media relations. Moss enlisted us for help getting traction in key European markets they'd not dented. So, we crafted a message to attract the attention of a Dutch audience. We researched the relevant outlets that could best carry Moss’s key message and developed a list of media outreach objectives covering national, finance, SME, and tech spheres. We 'tested' a press release and used the insights we gained to create press releases for key activities of Moss in the Dutch market, showcasing thought leadership and putting Moss alongside more established competitors. Pitching was highly targeted based on our research, and we monitored wider media opportunities as a chance to pitch Moss and get them the attention they deserved - which included coverage in Silicon Canals.
